This incredible vegan nut pâté using Brazil nuts and almonds is super easy to make and has an incredible flavor!

I got this nut pâté from Vegan For Her by Ginny Messina (The Vegan RD) and JL Fields.

In the book they say, “This is a great spread for vegetables, crackers, or sandwiches, and Brazil nuts are a good source of the mineral selenium for vegans. Try spreading this flavorful pâté on a large collard green, roll it up, and eat as a sandwich wrap.” Or just eat it out of the food processor with a fork. That’s as far as this pâté made it in our house. I just could not believe how good it was.

If you are a woman living on a plant based diet or thinking of transitioning to a vegan lifestyle, this book is an incredible resource. There is so much valuable information.

Ginny is one of the most respected pioneers of vegan nutrition offers valuable advice in a clear, easy-to-digest, flip-through-at-your-own-pace kind of way what makes this book really easy to read and find the information that is relevant to you. This is a book that you reference in a different way as your needs change with age, lifestyle, etc.

This comprehensive blueprint for optimal health for women of any age covers a myriad of commonly asked questions such as: how to safely transition to a vegan lifestyle, meeting the needs for athletes, getting glowing skin, hair, and nails, understanding the role of food on hormone levels, diminishing PMS and cramps, enhancing fertility and managing a healthy pregnancy, understanding healthy nutrition for breast feeding, how to lower your risk for heart disease and breast cancer, anti-aging strategies, building strong bones for life and preventing osteoporosis, controlling diabetes, combating inflammation and stress, managing menopause, coping with anxiety and depression, and treating and preventing arthritis among many other things. This book also dispels common myths about weight loss.

There are are a ton of practical tips in this book such as: incorporating principles of fashion and compassion in your home and wardrobe; recommendations for vegan skin care, health, beauty, and household products; simple fast substitutions for fast easy meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks; a step-by-step guide to planning balanced plant based meals using The Plant Plate guide (which adapts as your age and needs do); tricks for boosting the flavor of otherwise bland vegetable dishes; and tons of super easy recipes to help you implement the suggestions and feed yourself and your family.

    1. The authors wrote a book specifically geared towards women to address some of the common health issues women face when being vegan. It’s a fabulous resource for women. You can read the book, and can gain benefit from it as many of the health issues apply to men. But, much of the book is geared specifically to women.
