Cleansing Chile, Dandelion Green, Berry Juice

This wild spicy dandelion berry bliss juice is sweet, delicious, and is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients. It also has a beautiful color and thick pulpy texture.

I love this pulped juice. When juicing berries in a masticating juicer there is hardly any waste, and you get a delicious “juice crush” texture that is almost like a dessert.

Dandelion greens adds a slight bitterness and the chile adds heat that turns a simple berry juice into a sublime sip. This spicy berry juice tastes like a cocktail when you get the balance just right. Depending on the ripeness and sweetness of your berries, you may want to add some stevia to heighten and balance the flavors.

Just like with the piña colada smoothie, where the bitterness of the dandelion green hinted at rum, it has the same effect in this juice.

The health benefits of dandelion greens

Dandelions not only add a party flavor to this blend, they’re also loaded with nutrients. Dandelion greens are rich in vitamins A, B, C and D, as well as copper, phosphorous, calcium and magnesium. These leafy legends help regulate blood pressure and cholesterol, and alkalize the blood.

How To Juice Dandelion Greens

Dandelion leaves also don’t yield a lot of juice. Push a few leaves through alternating with some berries and a tiny bit of filtered water to get the most “bang for my buck.”

The health benefits of berries

Berries boost brain activity, support heart health, aid weight control and digestion, and deliver truckloads of antioxidants to combat abnormal cell development. Strawberries and raspberries are both loaded with vitamin C, which is brilliant for heart health.

How To Juice Berries

To get the most bang for your buck, push the whole berry (for strawberries, pull out the hulls) through your machine. To extract every bit of that berry delicious juice, alternate with high-water-content foods like cucumber, oranges, and apples, and maybe a little water.

  1. I noticed that the 3 day winter cleanse moved onto to additional days of juicing. Is this a longer program? I’d like to just get some clarification… Is each recipie posted used as a meal replacement? How many do you have each day? Can you go an entire month juicing without eating any meals? Please help me understand as I would love to cleanse for better health.
    Thanks

    1. Hey Monica,
      Sorry for the confusion.
The Cleanse is for 3 days. 3 recipes a day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Yes, they are meal replacements. If you look at the cleanse page in the news section of the site, all of the recipes are listed, as well as full instructions, extra recipes etc.
I am celebrating juicing all month with a recipe a day. But they are not part of the cleanse. For a first cleanse, I think doing 3 days is a great start. You can do longer cleanses. But I would always consult your health care professional first. I hope this helps.

  2. Ok, thank you so much. But for the other daily ones you’re posting, are they to be used just as a daily drink or as 1 meal replacement a day? Sorry I’m getting there with understanding this all. 🙂

    1. No worries at all. These are just fun juices to drink for good health. You can use this juice as a meal replacement for good health and detoxing. Or, you can drink it some time during the day between meals. Whatever you like.

  3. this smoothie sounds so good! i love adding some red pepper/cayanne to my smoothies, but i’ve never used dandelion greens. i love the thought of having it over crushed ice 🙂
