Breuss Juice

This spectacular spin on the classic Breuss juice from Meredith Baird is a cleanse champion, and has an exotic flavor that is decadent and delicious.

Meredith says, “The Austrian naturopath doctor, Rudolph Breuss developed this juice consisting of beets, carrots, celery, radish, and potatoes in specific ratios to provide a balance of basic elements required for the body’s nourishment. This juice is used as part of a 42-day fast for alternative cancer treatment. The intended effect is to starve abnormal cells. No matter what your intention, this is a balanced, powerfully detoxifying juice. We recommend this juice as an on-the-go lunch replacement. Using parsnip in the recipe really helps round out the flavor. We also use daikon radish in our recipe, but you can use 3 regular red radishes if you can’t find daikon.”

Everyday Raw Detox

Meredith shared this Breuss Juice in her book, Everyday Raw Detox. With stunning photography from Adrian Mueller, enticing descriptions, and valuable information about ingredients, juicing and blending techniques, this book will get you excited about being the best healthy version of yourself.

This book makes detox accessible and fun, and is all about pleasure. Meredith finds sexy and interesting ways to incorporate healthy food into your diet, and you can detox at a level that feels comfortable.

Whether you want to cleanse for a day, a week, or find healthy live recipes, there is something on offer. There are 100 exotic raw, vegan recipes in this book from juices, to blended fruit or vegetable smoothies, brewed tonics, appetizers, soups, salads, dips, and main dishes, a section of skin and body tonics, and a wonderful resources section.

These are not your run-of-the-mill recipes. The flavor combinations are really creative and decadent.

    1. Isn’t Adrian’s food photography just gorgeous? The recipe is AMAZING too. So good for you, and DELICIOUS! Enjoy 🙂

  1. So I made MB’s Beet detox juice. It was ourt of this world.. The remaining pulp I created a soup for my son by browning some onions and garlic in a little olive oil and seasoning adding the pulp with two cups water. He ate it and told me he told his friends who could not imagine purple soup.
(They don’t get out much) Haha!
    Namaste

    1. You don’t have to peel the potatoes and beets. But, if you don’t, you will need to scrub them extremely well to get rid of all of the grit. You will also get an extremely earthy flavor with the skins.
