Maple Walnut Baked Pears

These maple walnut baked pears are super easy to make with just 4 ingredients! This delicious dessert is vegan, gluten-free, and paleo friendly.

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe pears
  • 1/4 cup crushed raw walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons pure maple syrup or coconut nectar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
  2. Line a baking sheet with a silicone liner or parchment paper. 
  3. Cut the pears in half, then using a melon baller cut out and remove the center core with the seeds and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Fill the pear cavities with the crushed walnuts, drizzle with maple syrup, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes, until the pears are cooked through. 
  6. Serve warm with cashew cream or ice cream.
