Omega Blueberry Blast Smoothie

This vegan blueberry smoothie is loaded with antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids for sweet immunity.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1g) finely grated orange zest
  • 1 cup (240ml) orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon (8g) flax meal
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon (9g) hemp seeds
  • 2 cups (320g) frozen blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) minced ginger, plus more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1g) ground cinnamon, plus more to taste

optional boosters

  • 1 tablespoon (6g) açaí powder
  • 2 teaspoons (6g) maqui powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1g) probiotic powder

Instructions

  1. Throw everything into your blender (including any boosters) and blast on high for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth and creamy. Add more ginger and cinnamon, to taste.

  2. Drink immediately for the best texture, as the gelatinous quality of the blueberries causes this blend to thicken (and form a gel) when left to sit.
